Interested candidates should have a strong background in mathematics in general and in probability theory in particular.
The successful applicant will be expected to work within the group of Fabio Martinelli, Pietro Caputo and collaborators on topics related to the project. These include: Markov chain mixing, Interacting Particle Systems, Random graphs, and Random matrices.
The candidate is also required to provide a small amount of teaching, most likely confined to elementary courses.
Gross salary for this position is approximately 35,000 EUR per year.
The 3-year appointment could start as early as next Fall (Sept. 2017-Dec. 2017, with some flexibility).
