 The Roman International Airport "Leonardo da Vinci" is also
called "Fiumicino". The simplest and cheapest way to cover the 35 kilometers
from Fiumicino to the center of Rome is by train.
Airport/Fara Sabina (it stops at Ostiense
and Tiburtina Stations).
Multi-stop trains leave the airport every 20 minutes, from 6.28 a.m. to 11.28 p.m., arrive
at Tiburtina station and continue to Fara Sabina. Fare: ITL 8,000.
Airport/Roma Termini Station.
Non stop trains leave the airport every hour from 7.38 a.m. to 10.08 p.m. Fare: ITL
16,000.
Train timetables may vary during holidays and on Sundays.
Airport
to Hotel S. AnselmoTake the
train to Fara Sabina and get off at the Ostiense station.
From there you take bus number 8 for four stops.
From there it is a 5 minute walk to the Hotel S.

to Pensionato San. PaoloTake
the train to Fara Sabina and get off at the Ostiense station.
Then take the metro line B in the direction of Laurentina and get off at the stop "San
Paolo".
From there it is a 5 minute walk to the
Pensionato San. Paolo (see the map
on the left). |
A taxi
ride from the airport to the center of Rome costs 70.000 ITL.
Between 23:00 PM and 6:00 AM there is a 1 hourly
bus service between the Fiumicino airport and the center of Rome.
All major car rental companies have offices at
the airport. |
 Bus to Train & Underground
There
are two ways to get from the Ciampino Airport to the Termini train station:
1) Take a COTRAL bus to the Ciampino train station and from
there a train to the Termini station.
2) Take a bus to the "Anagnina" metro station and
from there the metro line "A" to the Termini station.
Bus stops and bus ticket vending machine are situated next to
the departure hall of the International Terminal.
Directions
from Roma Termini station to Hotel S. AnselmoTake the metro line
"B" in the direction Laurentina and get off at "Piramide".
From there it is a 5 minute walk to Piazza di S. Anselmo where the
hotel is located (see the map on the right). |
