About me:

I am a Ricercatore a Tempo Determinato di tipo B (tenure track) in the Department of Mathematics and Physics at Roma Tre University.

Previously I was postdoc at KTH and a Marshall H. Stone Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

I received my Ph.D. at the University of Georgia under the supervision of Valery Alexeev.

Research interests:

My research is in algebraic geometry, and it is focused on the study of compactifications of moduli spaces, especially in the context of moduli spaces of algebraic surfaces. I consider different compactification methods that come from the minimal model program, geometric invariant theory, and Hodge theory. Combinatorial aspects related to algebraic geometry often arise in my research. These involve toric varieties, convex geometry, hyperplane arrangements, and point arrangements. I am also interested in the study of the geometry of algebraic surfaces, especially in the case of K3 and Enriques surfaces.
